Medi-cal insurance question.?

Question by tita: Medi-cal insurance question.?
I am planning on getting Medi-cal insurance, I was reading what they asked for and it asks if the person applying has life insurance. I actually do have life insurance, my Statefam agent for my car insurance threw it in for multi insurance discount. My life insurance policy covers 50,000 and I'm 19. Umm, will this affect me in any way? Why would medi-cal ask for life insurance?
