under 18 car insurance?

Question by Jack Talbot: under 18 car insurance?
Hi
Im 17 and i am looking to unsure my car for the first time.
It is only a ford ka but im getting quotes for £5000+ when using the compare sites.
I have tried sites like direct line but they wont insure a driver under the age of 18.
any help? I have heard of young drivers getting insured for £1500 but i cant seem to find this...
