Buying a car from out of state, from a private seller.?

Question by Ez E: Buying a car from out of state, from a private seller.?
I'm from New York, and I might be buying a car from VA or Washington from a private party. This will be my first time doing this so what will i need from the buyer?(besides title) Also how do i get plates after purchasing to drive the car? I already called the insurance company for a quote and i'm set with them, they told me i can get insurance immediately.

So the main question is what will i need from purchase?
