Question by : I bought a car in new york, how can I drive it back?
I bought a 2005 Chevy Cobalt in upstate New York. The seller took the car off of insurance in October and didn't re-register it with the state in order to avoid payments. How can I get the car looked at by a mechanic and if all things are good write the check and drive it back legally to Michigan?

Can I get a temporary tag to do this?
